The challenge

SIC MARKING’s proposal needs to satisfy three precise requirements:

Be able to process 2 default collar sizes: 4.8 x 200 mm and 7.8 x 395 mm
Transfer coloured pigments to the collar.
What does this involve?
On our dot peen marking machine, we run a pigment ribbon between the stylus and the part to be marked.
This clever arrangement produces contrasting marking, ensuring that the marking lasts longer and is easier for people to read.
In fact, although the pigment fades as it ages, the dot peen indent marking will always remain for reading.
Perform installation either on the sub-contractor’s premises, or directly in nuclear power plants.

For marking the collars, SIC MARKING’s teams proposed an i53 machine on a column base, with a winding system for the pigment ribbon.
Depending on requirements, it is possible to mark collars 1 or 5 at a time, thanks to an i83 marking head, as the marking window is larger.
